New Framework Recording Studios, Iron Man Records Office, and Rehearsal Space under construction in Hockley, Birmingham.
You may remember the end of Framework Studios and our Rehearsal space at Blotto last year, where Police Bastard, Cain, Rainbow Grave and others practiced. The Landlord sold the building on Floodgate Street and we had to destroy everything and clear out by the end of September 2020.
I was not happy but I tried to remain positive. Whoever creates, demands destruction. Everything Burns. These things can happen.
It’s now June 2021, and with the support of Iron Man Records Patrons, I have been able to remain positive. Small shoots of hope are emerging from the scorched earth of last year and the global pandemic. I’ve been searching for a suitable warehouse, or industrial unit, to build a new office space, recording studio and rehearsal space for Iron Man Records in Birmingham.
Framework Studios has been homeless since September 2020 but Iron Man Records has been homeless since 2006. PO BOX 9121 is about all that remains of the Iron Man Records office from 1996 onwards. I’ve been trying to find a permanent home for the label ever since.
